Education and Training
Cate McKegney has a medical degree from the University of Vermont. She completed her internship and residency in Family Practice at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview. She also has a Master of Science in Family Practice and Community Health from the University of Minnesota.
Experience
McKegney has been practicing family medicine in the Twin Cities since 1985. For the first nine years she was in private practice and for the next nine she practiced and taught with the Hennepin County Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program. McKegney is an assistant professor in Family Medicine at the University of Minnesota and recently finished her Bush Medical Fellowship. She has been providing care for Fairview Partners patients for many years, and currently provides care for both long term care and short term rehabilitation patients at Fairview Partners member nursing homes in the metro area.
Licensure and Certifications
McKegney is board certified in family medicine.
Professional Associations
McKegney is a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association (and co-chair of the Minnesota chapter), the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Women’s Association.
Interests
In her spare time, McKegney enjoys singing, writing, knitting, camping and traveling with her family.

Education and Training
Ellen Fisher began her career in nursing with a associate’s degree from Marshalltown Community School of Nursing in 1976. She then went back to school in 1998 to get her bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and her master’s in nursing in 2000.
Experience
Fisher has many of years of experience working in the hospital setting in medical surgical units, orthopedics, intensive care, emergency care as well as out patient surgery. She also has experience in transitional care in the long term care setting.
Licensure and Certifications
Fisher is certified as an adult nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Professional Associations
Fisher is a member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP).
Interests
In her free time, Fisher enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking and doing bead work.
