“Providing care to geriatrics living in a skilled nursing facility is a great opportunity for enhancing preventative care and encouraging open communication with patients, families and all health care workers. I feel it is important to keep skilled nursing facilities as much as a home environment as possible with the added benefits of today’s modern medical advances.”

Experience

She also served as a float nurse and gained experience in the surgical and cardiovascular intensive care units as well as the bone-marrow and solid organ transplant units. Lood has been providing care to Fairview Partners patients as a gerontological nurse practitioner (GNP) since 2004.
