Education and Training
Pam Niles began her nursing career with an associate's degree in 1979. In 1999 she obtained her bachelor's in nursing from Bethel University. Niles then graduated with a master's in nursing from the University of Minnesota in 2004.
Experience
Pam began working for Fairview Partners in the fall of 2006. Prior to that, she worked as a registered nurse for more than 25 years in the acute care setting. The majority of this time was spent working with geriatric patients and their families. Pam has also worked on a medical surgical unit specializing in orthopedics, respiratory disorders and post-operative recovery. She has taught pre-operative orthopedic classes for prospective surgical candidates and their caregivers.
Licensure and Certifications
Pam is certified as a geriatric nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is also certified by the state of Minnesota as a Public Health Nurse.
Professional Associations
Pam is a member of the Minnesota Nurses Association.
Interests
Professionally, Pam is interested in alternative and complementary therapies, most specifically, the use of essential oils for therapeutic purposes.
Personally, Pam enjoys spending time with her three daughters, playing piano, needlepoint, walking, biking, the outdoors and working out.
