Education and Training
Barb Zillmer received her bachelor's in nursing from the University of Minnesota. Her emphasis was in medical and surgical nursing. She also received her master's in nursing from the University of Minnesota. From there, Barb became a geriatric nurse practitioner.

Experience
Barb worked in nursing at several hospitals throughout the Twin Cities are before becoming a nurse practitioner. She became a nurse practitioner 13 years ago and started working with senior patients right away. Barb joined the Fairview Partners team in 2006 and provides care to Fairview Partners members in both the short term and long term care settings.

Licensure and Certifications
Barb is certified as a geriatric nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Interests
In her free time, Barb enjoys spending time outdoors and being with her family and friends.
