A 104 bed facility, Ebenezer Ridges Care Center offers services for long term and short term care residents. Ebenezer Ridges Care Center is part of the larger Ebenezer Organization, a part of Fairview Health Services.

Education and Training
Alfred Lounsbury received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed both his internship and residency at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview.
Experience
Lounsbury has been practicing at Fairview Ridges Clinic for several years. He also provides care for Fairview Partners patients at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center.
Licensure and Certifications
Lounsbury is board certified in internal medicine.
Interests
Lounsbury’s professional interests include heart disease and prevention of coronary risk factors and primary care for patients, age 16 and older.
In his free time, Lounsbury enjoys spending time on outdoor activities with his wife and three children, as well as fly-fishing and fly-tying.

DEBRA NEWELL, M.D.

Education and Training
Debra Newell received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed both her internship and residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.
Experience
Newell currently practices at Fairview Ridges Clinic. He recently joined the Fairview Partners team, and provides care to member residents at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center. Prior to becoming a physician, Newell was a science teacher.
Licensure and Certifications
Newell is board certified in internal medicine.

KIRK SIMPSON , M.D.

Education and Training
Kirk Simpson has a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Experience
Simpson has been a physician at the Bloomington Lake Clinic since 1975. He serves as a professor of clinical medicine at the University of Minnesota. He is also an educator for the family-practice residency program at Hennepin County Medical Center. Additionally, he has been providing care for Fairview Partners patients in both the long term and short term care settings as several metro nursing homes for many years.
Licensure and Certifications
Simpson is board certified in family medicine.
Professional Associations
Simpson is a member of the American, Minnesota and Hennepin County Academies of Family Practice.
Interests
Professionally, Simpson has particular interests in preventative medicine, public-health issues and cancer prevention and screenings. In his free time, Simpson enjoys American Civil War history, sports, banjo-picking and spending time with his wife, Kathy. He has also been a volunteer for the American Cancer Society since 1981, serving as the Minnesota Division president from 1993-1995.

Education and Training
Maya Walkington-Stauber began her nursing career with a diploma from the Red Cross School of Nursing in Bern, Switzerland. She then received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and a Master of Arts in Nursing from the College of St. Catherine.
Experience
Walkington-Stauber has been practicing as a gerontological nurse practitioner (G.N.P.) for many years and has been with Fairview Partners since May 1996. She works in both the long term care and transitional care settings. She has also worked in clinical education for nursing staff and the elderly in the community and is a clinical instructor to G.N.P. students. Walkington-Stauber currently provides care at Augustana Health Care Center of Apple Valley and Ebenezer Ridges Care Center. She has been providing care at these two facilities since February 1998.
Licensure and Certifications
Walkington-Stauber is certified as a gerontological nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Professional Associations
Walkington-Stauber is a member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners and the American Medical Director Association (AMDA).
Personal Interests
In her free time, Walkington-Stauber enjoys gardening, reading, photography and spending time with her husband and cats.
