Education and Training
Teresa McCarthy received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview.
Experience
McCarthy currently practices at Smiley’s clinic. She also provides care to Fairview Partners patients at Walker Methodist Health Center.
Licensure and Certifications
McCarthy is board certified in family medicine.
Interests
McCarthy has a strong interest in both family medicine as well as geriatric medicine.

RODNEY MCFADDEN, M.D.
Internal Medicine and Geriatrics

Education and Training
Rodney McFadden received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Experience
McFadden has been practicing at Internal Medicine and Geriatrics since 1998. He has a special interest in geriatric patients, and is currently the medical director for three nursing homes in the metro area. McFadden also provides care for Fairview Partners patients at Mount Olivet Careview Home.
Licensure and Certifications
McFadden is board certified in internal medicine.

McFadden is a member of the American College of Physicians.                                                                                                                                              Interests
In his free time, McFadden enjoys spending time with his wife, and also enjoys biking, reading & listening to music. McFadden believes in treating his patients with respect.

Education and Training
LeeAnn Olson began her nursing career with an Associate of Science in Nursing from Anoka Ramsey Community College in 1992. Olson then went back to school and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of St. Catherine in 2000, and her Master of Arts in Nursing from the College of St. Catherine in 2003.
Experience
Olson joined the Fairview Partners team in January 2007, but, she has been caring for the geriatric population since the young age of 14 when she became one of the first candy stripers at the nursing home in her home town. After her candy striper work, Olson was a nursing assistant for 13 years. She then went back to school and worked as a nurse in long term care and transitional care for 6 years and she then spent 3 years working with palliative medicine in an acute care setting at United Hospital as a GNP.
Licensure and Certifications
Olson is certified as a gerontological nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). 
Interests
Professionally, Olson enjoys working with Dementia, Parkinson’s and other related disorders. Additionally, since her work with palliative medicine, she has become interested in pain management and the geriatric population.
Personally, Olson enjoys hiking the Superior National Forest trails, fishing and spending time with her family.
