Education and Training
Barbara Lever received her associate's in nursing in Seattle, Washington followed by her bachelor's in nursing from the University of Washington. Barbara then received her master's in geriatric nursing from the University of Minnesota
Experience
Barbara has worked as a nurse from coast to coast, giving her several years experience, especially in cardiac intensive care. She has been providing care as a geriatric nurse practitioner with Fairview since 2002, in hospital and rehabilitation settings. Currently, she providers care to patients needing short term rehabilitation as well as primary care in an assisted living facility.
Licensure and Certifications
Barbara is certified as a geriatric nurse practitioner by the American Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Professional Associations
Barbara is a member of the American Geriatric Society and the National Geriatric Nursing Association.
Personal Interests
Barbara enjoys gardening, traveling, biking, hiking, and above all, spending time her large and extended family.
